KLC Mutually Aided Co-operative Society Ltd.
Despite the existence of a large number of government and private banks, the weaker sections of society have typically been neglected, and it provided an opportunity for the development of co-operative societies. Following the ancient philosophy of cooperation, these societies attempt to provide services to the neglected sections of society comparable to banks. The Cooperative Credit Societies Act of 1904 was the first.
One such co-operative society, KLC Mutually Aided Co-operative Society Ltd., was formed on 06 March, 2025 under the A.P. Mutually Aided Co-operative Societies Act, 1995. It is registered at Vijayawada, the city renowned for its cultural splendor and abundance, and was created by professional bankers and entrepreneurs with a vision of economic upliftment of weaker sections. It has been making profits steadily, distributing an 11% dividend to members and a 0.5% dividend to elderly citizens.
